We used 3 skeins of Nicole Smooth in "Toffee" for this halter; we used horseshoe lace for the entire body. The halter is increased from the bottom up and can be made as solid on the front side only, or with lace all the way around. Click on the picture for the pattern, the pattern is in size Medium, but by adding or subtracting a pattern repeat, you can modify to fit.
1.Cast on 124 sts on size 4 circular needle and use Horseshoe lace.Join the circle, taking care not to twist the stitches.Mark the side 'seams' at the beginning and at the halfway point (62 sts).Work 2 rows of garter.
2.Work even 5 panels.
3.Waist Shaping.Inc 1 st at both sides of both seam markers (4 sts per round) on next round , then every following 16th round 1 time to 132 sts.Work even to complete 11 panels and 1 row.
4.ON ROW 2 OF PATTERN:Divide for armhole.Cast off the first 66 sts between seam markers loosely, after reaching next seam marker (front) begin armhole shaping by casting off as instructed below:
FRONT:
1.Armhole shaping.Cast off 2 sts at beginning of next 2 rows (62 sts).
2.Raglan shaping.Dec 1 st at armhole end(s) of every 4th row 2 times then, every other row, then AT THE SAME TIME, with 50 sts remaining;
3.Shape neck. Work both sides at the same time.Work 17 sts.Cast off next 16 sts.Work remaining 17 sts.Continue armhole shaping.Dec 1 st at neck edge every other row until 3 sts remain.
