LACE HANKS ARE HERE!
Summer is a great time for Lace Knitting. And many of my friends are knitting such beautiful lace projects, from Scarves to the ever popular “Mystery Shawl”, my friends have kept me busy with special requests for custom dyed lace. So, I’m going to make the same thing available on my website, the Haiku and Zen 2 ply yarns are available in 1,200 yard hanks (equivalent to 6 skeins of yarn), made special for shawls. And, the best part is, the hanks will be priced to sell at less than the cost of 5 skeins of yarn! And of course, if you want a hank of the lace yarn, but don’t see the colorway you’re looking for, send me an e mail and I will try to create the design of your choosing! Argosy specializes in custom one-of-a-kind hand painted yarns. We have a large selection of multi color, monochromatic and solid hand dyed luxury fibers (for a detailed list of all our products, see below). To assist in your purchasing experience, select from the categories on the left side of this screen and view the pages of yarn we have in stock (there is usually more than one page per category; all yarns are listed in alphabetical order by color). When you find a color that appeals to you, simply "drill" into the photo image (click on the image until you see a larger image come up); this is truly the best way to view our yarns. If you have never used hand dyed yarns, you are in for a real treat! However, there are a few things you should know about knitting with hand dyed yarns. The best information we have found is from the book “Knitting with Hand-Dyed Yarns” by Missy Burns, Stephanie Blaydes Kaisler and Anita Tosten. They recommend (among other great purls) that you blend the colors when knitting a project that requires several skeins of the same hand dyed yarn. That is, to switch skeins every few rows as you knit your project. Hand Dyed yarn is not intended to be uniform throughout a skein or dye lot of yarn. Color variation is really the essence of hand dyed yarn.

All returns must be within 90 days of purchase.
